Food-inspired Writing

My family doesn't really have any traditions when it comes down to food. I guess that is not really our culture, to have the same dishes with every event. Plus, we don't have Thankgiving either.

As far as I am aware, there's only a few 'typical' foods that make me think of something:
- Cake, my mom used to make cake and then my dad and I would eat most of the batter before the cake went in the oven. Now, I am the one that makes the cake with the help of my little sister and we make double the doses. That way we have the batter and an actual cake.

Toko
- Macaroni, something my uncle used to make. Me and my siblings loved it. Everyone did. When he would come over to babysit us or come over to eat with the family, he would make macaroni a lot. I miss it, now when my mom makes it it doesn't taste the same and it makes me sad to think of him.

- Toko, we eat this all the time. It's my favorite. For my siblings birthdays we always have catering from the same place and the entire family plus our friends comes over to eat and celebrate.
